Nadezhda is a young teacher in a small Bulgarian town. One day she is shocked to discover that there is a thief in her class. She is determined to find out who it is so she can teach them the difference between right and wrong. She wants to teach them how to choose good solutions and reject those that are morally questionable. Soon, however, when a creditor wants his debt back at once, she will face a similar problem. How will she resolve the issue of morals when her perspective changes? A film debut unsentimentally showing the fine line of moral principles in the face of brutal economic reality.
