dir. Xan Cassavetes
USA / Colombia / Colombia, 2004 - 120
A documentary about the life and death, work and obsessions of Jerry Harvey, the legendary programmer of the Californian film channel Z-Channel, that was the first introduction to world cinema for many film lovers. People could become acquainted with unknown European and Asian films, without commercial breaks, with the complete credits and in the right format.
Among the faithful fans of Z-Channel were Quentin Tarantino and Jim Jarmusch. The directors talk about the influence the channel had on their lives. The documentary is illustrated with film fragments (obtaining all the rights deserves a separate prize).
