North-eastern Italy, the year 1900. Agata’s baby is stillborn. According to her religion, stillborn children cannot be named and thus remain unbaptised, condemned to Limbo. The grief-stricken Agata hears about a holy place high up in the mountains where infants can be brought back to life for just one breath. That’s long enough to be recognised by God, be granted entry into heaven, and save their soul. She digs up the box with her daughter’s body and heads out. On the way, she meets Lynx, a solitary boy with strange eyes who offers to help her. They set off for a place that may or may not exist, but which might enable both of them to come close to a miracle. A mythopoetic odyssey of grief, faith, and feminine determination. An ambitious, independent production about transformation.
