Two Small Bodies
Two Small Bodies
dir. Beth B.
Germany, 1993 - 85
Eileen, loaded down under shopping, opens the door of her home and almost trips over a toy. This chaos she beholds can only mean one thing: her two young children have disappeared. She is interrogated by a policeman. It's obvious to him: Eileen, divorced from her alcoholic husband and working as a stripper in a night club, has murdered her children. All he wants to know is: how did she do it and where are the "two small bodies"? Eileen conforms to the picture he has of her and tells him what he wants to hear. She admits she is a bad mother, a nymphomaniac, a bad woman, an inferior being. But slowly the balance of power shifts.
